Participants from 26 countries take part - 10 qualified from the first Semi-Final, 10 from the second Semi-Final and Germany, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy and the Host Country, Azerbaijan pre-qualified for the Show before.

As a non-Greek having lived in Greece for 25 years,I have seen a lot from an outsider's point of view.I love Greece and her people and in many ways there is still a lifestyle in Greece which the rest of the world has either lost in it's race to "progress",or never had in the first place.The Greek attitude to life can teach us all a few lessons about enjoying the simple things in life and that you don't need every gadget under the sun to be happy.
I remember a different Greece when life was more un-complicated and one could travel around the islands on the smell of an oily rag.I also remember when the banks first started bombarding the airwaves with advertising back in the 90's.What some people may not realise is that most Greeks back then had no experience with the concept of borrowing money from banks,12 months interest-free loans etc etc.
I think it's fair to say that many people were sucked in and swept along with this new concept of living on credit and the clever advertising at the time really made it sound like "free money".
Although I have known Greeks who will always try to outsmart the system and dodge whatever taxes they can,I must add that they are heavily out-weighed by honest,hard-working,family orientated individuals with whom I have deep sympathy right now.
These are the innocent victims of whatever has caused this situation and I'm getting a little tired of hearing opinions of different people around the world judging "Greeks" for the current situation.Please let's all remember that any nation is made up of individuals and it is wrong to "throw everybody in the same pot" when talking about any nation or group of people.
It is not acceptable to label any race,religion,gender or whatever as being this or being that.Most of us are still decent,honest people just trying to get by and earn a bit of free time to spend and enjoy with our families and "Greeks" are no exception.
Thank you for your article.Your mother sounds like many people I have had the privilege to know over the years and whatever happens in the future,and whatever is the ultimate outcome of this present mess,I do hope these dear old people do not lose their "meagre" pensions whilst the crooks and politicians spirit their fortunes out of Greece.
In a nutshell,there are good and bad people everywhere,so maybe we should all remember that before judging 'The Greek",or 'The Asian"or The Jew,The Muslim,The Obese,The Gay etc etc etc...A Greek citizen is not guilty of tax evasion,laziness,deception,or anything else just by his/her Nationality.

We were guided by two principles that can help you transform your relationship. First principle: Energy follows attention. Every time you "invest" in the negative, you are honing your ability to detect faults. If we still don't get what we want, we experience what could be called a wound, and we create a defense against being wounded again, such as withdrawing emotionally or escalating our demands.

When we are ready for adult commitment, more often than not, our unconscious mind selects someone who has positive and negative traits similar to those of our parents in order to have another chance to heal ourselves. All too often, though, we end up reliving the patterns that hurt us in the first place. And as we did when we were children, we let our frustrations be known—only this time, we express the pain with criticism. We use negative transactions to try to effect positive outcomes. It never works.

"Well, I would say real love is about going to a different destination," she says, giving the conversation a quarter turn with a certain exuberant sweetness. "You become conscious that there is a space between the two of you, and that's where the relationship resides."

Even when there's a breach of trust—infidelity, for instance—Hendrix and Hunt caution against a quick split. Instead, says Hunt, "you have to get curious with your partner about why they're doing whatever they're doing. Ask—then stop talking and stop judging, and become a safe person to confide in. The sense of judgment and criticism is what can make our partners feel like such a failure that they seek another avenue to express their passion."

Something you began that year is being completed or needing to spiral to the next level. Solar Eclipses dim the light of the Sun. We could be delayed in our Gemini compulsion to share, talk, write and connect. Usually 0* implies new beginnings. However, this Gemini Solar eclipse is conjunct the Dragons tail. There are two points on the Moon that are very important the North Node and the South Node. The North Node represents the direction in life we are to go in–the Dragons head. The South Node—Dragons tail is where we have come from in our past, including our past lives. Is there something from the past that must be recovered before we move forward?

Black Sun 2012

 Sunday, May 20, 2012, the northern hemisphere will have a chance to see a rare Annular Eclipse of the sun.  Folks in Asia will get the best views of it.  Which is why the Dr. Jarita Holbrook, Astrophysicist, Anthropologist and Documentary Filmmaker, wanted to be in Tokyo, Japan this weekend to film this event.  She’s currently making a new film about the Annular Eclipse on May 20, 2012 and the upcoming full Solar Eclipse November 3, 2013, and the two scientists who study these events: Drs. During an annular eclipse the moon does not block the entirety of the sun, but leaves a bright ring of light visible at the edges. Annular is Latin for little ring, which is the reason for the name of this celestial event. For the May eclipse, the moon will be at the furthest distance from Earth that it ever achieves – meaning that it will block the smallest possible portion of the sun, and leave the largest possible bright ring around the outside.  I imagine it will quite beautiful, a sight to behold.

 Wow!  Doesn’t that just take your breath away. The moon will pass in front the fiery sun until it sets in the middle creating a black orb with a ring of fire. 

So get your pinhole projection ready.  You can do it with two index cards or go old school with the cardboard box over your head.  Here are some directions for making various solar eclipse viewers.  Either way, be safe and ready. The eclipse begins in the late evening, before dusk and will be quick. The moon doesn’t stand still.
