4 earthquakes rock China, 80 dead
Beijing (CNN) -- The death toll rose to 80 on Saturday after earthquakes rocked southwest China, destroying roads and communication lines, and forcing tens of thousands of evacuations, state media reported.
More than 700 others were injured in the Friday quakes, according to Xinhua news agency. Officials fear the death toll may rise as they scramble to reach affected areas.
Big rocks blocked roads, and communication lines and other infrastructure were downed, hampering rescue efforts.
About 100,000 people have been evacuated and 100,000 others are in need of relocation, state media reported.
Premier Wen Jiabao, who will direct rescue efforts, inspected stricken areas early Saturday and visited the injured.
Initial estimates put the "direct economic losses" from the tremors at more than half a billion dollars, the news agency said.
The four earthquakes struck near the border of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, the U.S. Geological Survey said. Their magnitudes ranged between 4.8 and 5.6, according to the U.S. agency.
All four quakes struck at a depth of 10 kilometers (six miles).
The southwestern region of China is prone to earthquakes. In May 2008, a magnitude 7.9 quake in Sichuan province caused widespread devastation, killing at least 69,000 people.

Saturn in Scorpio - October 5, 2012
Saturn takes two and a half years to go through any particular sign. We have completed the two and a half year journey with Saturn to Libra asking on a collective level of bringing in right relationships, proper balance and fairness onto the planet.
Now, Saturn is shifting into Scorpio on October 5th around 4:30 p.m. Eastern time. This particular chart is set up for Washington DC. I have to set the chart for some place. You can look at the chart for where you are living, where you are born. The main characteristics, that you want to take away is what will Scorpio in Saturn mean for you. What does it mean collectively? What resonates for you of the collective, the overall meaning of Saturn in Scorpio to your personal life?
Saturn will be in each of the signs once every 29 years, approximately. It takes that amount of time, 29 years to complete that cycle. Yes, it still has the overall meaning of Saturn in Scorpio, anytime that goes into Scorpio. Yet, as we evolve, as we spiral the human consciousness grows, there will be a new level or new place of understanding of what we are meant to embrace and learn from. You can see that from what's called the Ingress chart. The ingress is when of the planets ingresses into a new sign, the Ingress Chart of Saturn into Scorpio.
This Ingress Chart is significant as not only will Saturn be in Scorpio. Mercury will be in Scorpio at the same degree. If you look here, Saturn and Mercury are both at zero degree Scorpio. Of course, Mercury is just to enter the little bit before that 37 minutes. Also, Mars is in Scorpio in the north, notice in Scorpio conjunct Mars. What does this all mean? One, that there's a lot of Scorpio energy with the Saturn ingress into Scorpio. You need to interpret or take into account what these other, where the positions of the other planets are in relationship to Saturn.
The generic interpretation for Saturn in Scorpio means Saturn is when we do get serious about things, that we have to create more boundaries or we take a harder look or there are harder decisions. Scorpio is a depth sign, going deep, going deep within to discover. It involves secrets

Greece to sell airport to pay off debts?
Greece is trying to raise cash by reviving an ambitious program to privatize state assets. The country's lenders, which include the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, hope the sell-off will cut the country's enormous debt.
But Antonis Tsifis, who runs a betting shop in a working-class neighborhood in Athens, is upset that the government is going to sell its stake in OPAP, the giant gaming firm that oversees his betting shop.
"If [the government] wants to sell the most profitable company it has, at a time like this, then what can I say?" he says. "There will be nothing left to sell after that."
The government needs the cash, but critics like Tsifis expect the privatization drive to be a fire sale. The country's lenders say Greece must raise the equivalent of $23 billion through privatization by the end of 2015.
Besides OPAP, other assets for sale include stakes in the electricity company and the site of the former Athens airport. The government also said it would sell its majority share in Hellenic Postbank, a small lender that took major hits after investing heavily in now-devalued Greek government bonds. The bank workers are striking to protest the move.
