Dear Friends,
This morning I have got this email: 

"I've been in NY (Island Park) since yesterday... this small town of 4000... is completely devastated... We have nothing here... no Electric (I'm at the Firehouse which has a generator) no cell service no heat, no gas and I can go on But MOST Importantly No Assistance or Coordination from FEMA, Red Cross etc... The town feels completely ignored... I watched resources go through Island Park, down Austin Blvd. and completely Bypass this town to go where the press is... Long Beach... (Sorry to say BUT in My opinion the rescue effort has been a complete SHOW for the media... the resources are going where the cameras are) WHAT WE NEED NOW IS VOICES FOR US... Obviously we have no way to contact the Media, Radio Stations, Red Cross or Salvation Army... Please call them and let them know about Island Park... everyone here lost everything and they are getting limited to no help from the outside... PLEAS
