The master took his disciple down to the lakeside. “Today I am going to teach you the meaning of true devotion,” he said. He asked the disciple to enter the lake with him, and placing his hands on young man’s head, he thrust him under the water. The first minute passed. In the middle of the second minute the young man was struggling with all his strength to free himself of the master’s hand and return to the surface. At the end of the second minute the master released him. With his heart beating fast and completely breathless, the young man stood up and shouted: “You tried to kill me!” The master waited for him to calm down and then said: “I didn’t want to kill you, because if I did, you would no longer be here. I just wanted to know what you felt while you were under the water.” “I felt I was dying! All that I wanted in life was to breathe some air!” “That’s exactly it. True devotion only appears when we have just one desire and feel that we will die if we cannot realize that desire.”

A Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs on Friday, October 18th, 2013, at 7:38 PM EDT.

On Friday evening, the Full Moon occurs with the Libra Sun in opposition to the Moon in Aries. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time--a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships. Lunar Eclipses are more potent Full Moons, and are about relationships and polarities. With the Aries-Libra axis involved, this Lunar Eclipse presses us to look more closely at our needs, lacks, and wants in our lives concerning the balance between Aries-ruled and Libra-ruled areas of life.

The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents "self" and Libra represents "other". Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise. The energy of the Libra Sun is the awareness of the need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them--compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Moon, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous. This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and tending to the needs of a significant other, and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability.

The Libra Sun is diplomatic, equality-minded, and fair-minded. The Aries Moon, however, values authenticity over tact, and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict. Neglecting either end of the Aries-Libra axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do. This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of a personal nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can't sit on our feelings. We need to express them.

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse illuminates the conflict between "me" and "you", and between autonomy and sharing.

With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic "illumination" occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It's time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet.

Full moon in Pisces bursting with anticipation for the future

The Full Moon on September 19 is at 26º Pisces. It falls on Matar in the right knee of Pegasus in Pisces Decan 3. This is the zone of the impossible for here we have aeronautical fishes! We get the feeling that this Piscean water is simmering, about to boil over as it makes its way to rebirth at the equinox.

This Moon is bursting with anticipation for the future and impatient because its been cocooned for so long. Now this will especially ring true for those of you lucky folk in the southern hemisphere. You will be coming into spring while we in the North are going into Autumn. We are all going to be equalised on September 22 when the Sun enters tropical Libra’s scales. This Moon is the prelude to the re-balancing.

Matar in Pegasus is a visionary. It’s enthusiastic, ambitious and stimulates change. There is a lot to get excited about as the full moon chart itself is pretty spectacular. A Yod, a T-square and two minor grand trines making a diamond shaped aspect pattern. We have been getting these Diamonds on and off since August 9 due to the ongoing retrogrades with Uranus square Pluto sextile Saturn. These slow moving planets have been sitting ducks for the personal planets to come along and ignite them into more complex patterns. Jupiter had been inflaming a T square to Uranus square Pluto but things should calm down now a little bit hopefully, now that it has moved out of orb.

Greece riots after " neo nazi " hip hop murder

Athens and other cities around Greece erupted in violence the night of Sept. 18 in protests over the murder earlier in the day of a 34-year-old anti-fascist hip-hop artist who police said was stabbed to death by a member of Golden Dawn, Giorgos Roupakios, who was arrested. He appeared before a prosecutor while the demonstrations were raging and will appear before a magistrate on Sept. 21.

While the government scrambled to find ways to legally control Golden Dawn, which has 18 seats in Parliament, the friends and family of Pavlos Fyssas buried him the morning of Sept. 20, little more than a day after he was killed at a cafe in the southern Athens neighborhood of Amfiali, where he had gone with friends and his fiance to watch the Olympiakos-Paris St. Germain soccer game on TV.

Reports differed but it was said that words broke out between Fyssas and his friends and Golden Dawn members and that the extremists left and called for reinforcements and that as many as 40 of their gang attacked Fyssas and several of his friends. Witnesses said Roupakios, unable to physically knock down Fyssas, stabbed him three times before fleeing.
